В целом, хотелось бы отметить значимость временной перспективы, проявившейся в данном исследовании, не только прошлого, но и будущего. На наш взгляд, суицидальные поступки и несуицидальные самоповреждения представляют собой травматические переживания, прерывающие длительность «я», мешающие планировать будущее и способствующие негативной переоценке прошлого, приводящие к парадоксальной позитивной оценке смерти [65, 66, 67]; и восстановление человека должно происходить с учётом этого факта.
Ограничения и сильные стороны работы. Ограничением данной работы является корреляционный характер исследования, что не даёт возможности выносить заключения о причинно-следственных связях. Кроме того, наличие НСП оценивалось дихотомично, без учёта давности опыта, частоты и тяжести этого поведения, что могло бы способствовать большей точности в определении значимых психологических переменных, сопутствующих данному типу поведения. Тем не менее, исследователям удалось выявить основные значимые факторы, вносящие вклад в формирование НСП и перехода от суицидальных мыслей к суицидальным попыткам.
