Чаще всего в этом подконцепте можно найти существительные, связанные с награждением спортсменов, также спортсмены часто называются героями, звездами, чемпионами, которые описываются прилагательными в превосходной степени.
Проведенное исследование показало, что на языковом уровне для всех подконцептов спортивного дискурса характерно наличие разговорных слов и выражений: "a no-win situation", "lost-in-the-lights triple", "as the big brothers in this inter-borough rivalry" [15], "a three-run rally" [14], "the snake-bitten Nets ", "with ever-improving Nets centerLopez" [8]; "you've gotta keep perspective" [15], "these guys are hot", "might well have given up", "he was clumsily axed"[15], "...don't kid yourself" [15];
вводных слов: "Confidence, however, is not his problem", "Cousins, meanwhile, actually could have a higher ceiling" , "And if the Mets are pounded, well, then everything gets accelerated" [8]; "And before you point to the injures", "After all,the injury-prone Yankees suddenly need a cure for what ails them..." [15];

Всего нами было проанализировано около 200 примеров данных подконцептов, и, рассмотрев их вербальную реализацию в спортивном дискурсе, мы выяснили, какие подконцепты являются доминирующими и встречаются чаще всего. Прежде всего, это "Strength"(16,35% примеров), "Struggle"(13,84% примеров), "Effort"(10,69% примеров), а самым редко встречающимся является подконцепт "Pain"(1,26% примеров), о котором не принято говорить, достигая каких-либо спортивных вершин.
