In magnetotelluric (DOLE) and the mV (IMP) methods use natural alternating electromagnetic field of the Earth. Thanks to this powerful source and its global distribution in the observed response are manifested deleted geoelectrics heterogeneity (located outside the network of observations). In this paper, based on the 3D simulation shows that the network 5 component observations AMT-MEP can be discharged in 4-8 times.

This can be done due to the sensitivity of the method IMP to the presence of objects located away from points of observation. By a sparse network of observations, you are sure to mark the position of the axis of the anomalous object, using maps of the induction vectors. For any curve of the amplitude of the tipper on the area of research, one can estimate the ratio of the horizontal sizes (L/a) and conductivity cross-section (G) of a simple 3D anomalous objects. After this, you should recommend a position detalization profiles, in order to more accurately determine the main parameters of the search object. As a practical example, the results of AMT-MVP in the province of Quebec (Canada). The practical example shows that according to the IMP can detect the ore body, located a few miles from the observational network.
