In the article the results of the conducted experimental research in order to identify the semantic structure of the English verb “fantasize” are presented. The created specifically for the considered stratum of vocabulary meta-language has made it possible to solve the problem on the use differentiation of the synonymous units of the lexical-semantic group of verbs of imagination in the English language. The identified set of semantic features that make up the semantic structure of the verb “fantasize” has allowed characterizing the area of denotation of the considered lexeme in detail.
